Selected fixture previews:
Colorado Rockies vs LA Dodgers at Coors Field
April 3rd, 2021
Defending MLB champions LA Dodgers get their campaign underway with a tricky-looking trip to Coors Field to take on the Colorado Rockies. With both sides locked in the National League West division, it promises to be a fascinating battle between two good sides.
Colorado Rockies
With a losing record both on the road and at home last season, it was a campaign for forget for the Colorado Rockies – who finished 5th in the NL West. Changes have been made in the off-season though and they will be raring to go here.
LA Dodgers
Following their first World Series win in over 30 years, LA Dodgers look to be back at the very top of their game and how they would love to go back-to-back. They bossed the NL West last season and they will be hoping to start on the front foot this year too.
Best Bet: LA Dodgers to win the match
Outside Punt: Over 6.5 runs to be scored in the game
New York Yankees vs Toronto Blue Jays at Yankee Stadium
April 3rd, 2021
Two East Coast heavyweights face off in the American League as the New York Yankees host the Toronto Blue Jays. Both sides endured largely forgettable campaigns last year and they will be eager to put down a marker here.
New York Yankees
The wait for a Yankees World Series win is now at 12 years and how they would love to break their streak this term. Their finish of 5th in the American League was poor for a team packed with talent and 2021 presents a new opportunity for them.
Toronto Blue Jays
Similarly, the Toronto Blue Jays finished 8th in the American League last season, a poor return for a side with plenty of potential. They had winning records at home and on the road however and should be looking to build on that this term.
Best Bet: New York Yankees to win the match
Outside Punt: Under 5.5 runs to be scored in the game
2020 MLB Standings
Philadelphia Phillies vs Atlanta Braves at Citizens Bank Park
April 3rd, 2021
2020 National League runners-up Atlanta Braves travel to the Philadelphia Phillies looking to build on an impressive showing last term. Philadelphia Phillies
The Phillies promised so much last term but were edged out in the National League, finishing 9th overall – with one less win than the Milwaukee Brewers. They enjoyed an excellent home record in the NL East and will make this tricky for the high-flying Braves.
Atlanta Braves
Following an excellent campaign, the Atlanta Braves came up short in the playoffs in 2020 but have plenty to build on in 2021. They finished comfortably top of the NL East and they will see this as a real chance to put down a marker this term.
Best Bet: Atlanta Braves to win the match
Outside Punt: Over 7.5 runs to be scored in the game
MLB Accumulator Bet
LA Dodgers, New York Yankees and Atlanta Braves to all win (as a three-fold accumulator).
